From my First Independent Component I did a total of 70 hours. So subtracting the required 30 Hours, I did 40 hours over.
For my Mentorship I did a total of 100 hours

Interpretive: The most important thing I gained from my mentorship was the experience in a competitive studio. I also learned so much about being a teacher and getting the students to open up and express themselves. Through my mentorship I found out things about myself. I found a love for lyrical dance. I don't express my emotions that much, only with a select few and dancing lyrical and expression allowed me  figure out what helped me relief stress.

Applied:
Everything in my mentorship supported or led to my answers. Observing and taking notes was very helpful because sometimes I would look back to my notes and see something I would  want to research more. It drove my senior project.

4. I go in everyday and help stretch and then return to observe on how the teacher teaches and prepares students for performances while taking notes.

• Questions:

            What are better methods to teach the younger kids a routine?

             For them to perform with a smile would it be better if they also practice with a smile?

             What are ways to get a synchronized performance?

            What does it take to get an astonishing dance performance?

            How can one make up for a mistake during a performance?

• What I gained:

            I learned different techniques to teach different dances to a variety of age groups. I learned that while 

            almost every dance requires a different costume, different facial expression, and different body language

            they all have things in common. No dancer will look well if she/he is not confident or prepared. For an 

           an audience to be overwhelmed, a dancer needs to be confident and lose themselves in the performance

           as well (metaphorically speaking of course.)

• The Chosen Topic

                I knew from the beginning that dance was what I wanted to do. But I wasn't always sure if it was what I

                should do. But going to service learning has been so much fun and I learn something knew every time.
                I basically knew but service learning was that push I needed for me to make it happen.
